爱上木工，废弃木材也能变身创意家居

Hello, my name is Kerstin Frajese and I design and make vases out of wood and glass for my shop,my Flower Meadow.

I live in Düsseldorf, Germany, with my husband Mike, my 8-year-old daughter Fee, and her two cats, Mucks and Maja.

I have worked in my restoration studio for more than 20 years, using many different kinds of wood.

It was always very hard for me to throw away the leftover timber.

My daughter inspired me to start making vases from these scraps – she collects so many flowers on walks that we didn’t have enough vessels to put them into.

The wooden vases didn’t last long on our table, because my friends adored them and took them away. And so The Flower Meadow started.

My years of work as a conservator made me love working with different fancy lumbers.

I choose unique pieces of wood with character because I want to show how special nature can be.
